Hallo OT (work in progress)
The former LHCb Outer Tracker based on straw tubes has been kindly donated by LHCb/CERN to GSI/FAIR for further use in experiments and predominantly in PANDA.
In PANDA parts of the OT are being considered for two use cases:
(1) OT use case in PANDA at FAIR - Charged particle tracking Jump to OT PANDA FT5/6
(2) OT use case in PANDA at FAIR - Muon Range System Jump to OT PANDA MRS
Various OT components are subject to tests and further developments for their integration in experiments:
(I) OT Detector tests in DTL at GSI - Detector Test Jump to OT PANDA DTL
(II) OT Detector beam tests in mCBM at GSI - Detector Tests Jump to OT PANDA mCBM
(III) OT Detector beam tests in Cave-C at GSI - Detector Tests Jump to OT PANDA Cave-C
In addition to PANDA, further experiments have expressed interest in using parts of the OT, such as in CBM at FAIR:
